Pastor's Welcome

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church invites you to come and hear how by Jesus Christ's saving work you have the promises of forgiveness of sins and eternal life.  As the pastor, I welcome you and your family to God's House of Prayer.  If there is any way I can be of service, please feel free to contact me.

Our Mission

The Mission of Our Redeemer is to vigorously make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our church, our community, and the world.

Our Doctrine

Simply stated, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod believes, teaches, and confesses that in Christ alone there is salvation - by grace alone.  To share this message with the world is the mision of the church and the reason for its existence.

Our History & Organization

Our Redeemer was organized on November 27, 1932.  In 1934, Our Redeemer joined the Southern Illinois District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.  The cornerstone of Our Redeemer's first church building was laid on Octorber 4, 1936.  The church membership numbered 70 at the time the church was being built.  In January 2001, Our Redeemer purchased land at the north-east edge of Greenville for the site of their new, larger church and future school facility.  A ground breaking ceremony for the new building construction was November 21, 2004, and the service to lay the cornerstone was held on June 26, 2005.  Our first worship service in the new church was on November 20, 2005, and the Dedication Service was on Sunday afternoon May 28, 2006.
